1. Introduction

Welcome to Proovik. This document describes the terms and conditions that govern the use of our blockchain-based digital certification services.

2. Service Description

Proovik provides a digital integrity certification service for documents using the Kaspa blockchain network. Our service:

• check_circle Generates a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your document
• check_circle Records this hash on the Kaspa blockchain network
• check_circle Provides a PDF certificate with proof of existence

3. Legal nature of the proof

Proovik issues a non-qualified electronic time stamp within the meaning of Article 3(16)(i) of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS). Under Article 41(1) of that Regulation, an electronic time stamp shall not be denied legal effect and admissibility as evidence in legal proceedings solely on the grounds that it is in electronic form or that it does not meet the requirements of a qualified electronic time stamp.

What the service does not provide:

• block The presumption of accuracy of the date and time under Article 41(2) of eIDAS, which applies only to qualified electronic time stamps issued by a qualified trust service provider on an EU trusted list. Proovik is not one.
• block Verification of the identity, capacity or intent of whoever submits a document. We do not know who you are, and we do not certify authorship.
• block Any assessment of the content, lawfulness or truthfulness of the document. We prove that a given hash existed on the network at a given time. Nothing else.
• block Public faith (fe pública) or any notarial function, and no substitute for one.

Weighing the evidence is always a matter for the court or authority hearing the case, and the treatment of electronic evidence differs between jurisdictions. Proovik makes no claim that its certificates carry absolute evidentiary weight or automatic validity in any territory, and does not rely on any court ruling as a warranty of their evidentiary value. For a specific case, consult a lawyer.

4. Privacy

Your document never leaves your device. We only process the cryptographic hash, which is mathematically impossible to reverse. We do not store, access, or transmit your original files.

5. User Responsibilities
